What is the Number One Cause of Death in the World?

Hunger remains the Number One cause of death in the world. Currently, there are 820 million chronically hungry people in the world.

One third of the world’s hungry live in India. Ten million people die every year of chronic hunger and hunger-related diseases. Over 7,000 Indians die of hunger every day.

At Tripura Foundation, we annually serve almost a million mini-meals to poor children at our HoPE Learning Centers. Many of these children subsist on watery rice, so the mini-meals are more in quantity and nutrition than their food during the remainder of their days.

In addition, we serve over 75,000 meals each year to destitute elderly people who have been abandoned by loved ones and cannot afford to feed themselves on meager monthly pensions.

Join us to save the lives of vulnerable, hungry children and elderly people RIGHT NOW! It doesn’t take much time or cost much money to save lives. In fact, every dollar you donate places healthy food into the hands and mouths of hungry children and elderly people.
