Ms. Selva Sundari has served as a Hope Learning Station staff person Hope staff member for the past eight years. Her responsibility and dedication are extraordinary. She says,
“I love the teaching profession. The ultimate goal of teaching is to promote learning. For the most part, learning takes place in many different circumstances and contexts. Although everyone is capable of learning, a student’s desire to learn is vital to mastering new concepts, principles, and skills.”
She is wonderful at creative craftworks and enjoys spending time with children by talking to them and listening to their stories as well as their difficulties.
Ms. Selva comes from a farming family native to Vedambur. After completing a master’s degree in Science, she proved herself to be the best teacher from the Kumbakonam region. She is kind and caring towards students who need additional assistance and helps them in their studies, even after class hours.
She says with a beaming smile,
“Working as a teacher has made my dreams come true, for I craved to work as a teacher from my school days.”
She is happy to work, even during the Pandemic, at the Hope Learning Station. She helps children in their regular academics, and ensures proper sanitization and social distancing are maintained. The children are very much attached to her.
