Fireworks Of Hope

Fireworks Of Hope

Fireworks were invented in ancient China in the 7th century to scare away evil spirits with natural applications of gunpowder. Rather than being scary, as intended, they were dazzlingly beautiful and an instant hit with people from all walks of life.

They are still a hit throughout many nations, including the United States and India.

So, on July 4th, while many people in the United States celebrate Independence Day with pyrotechnic displays to commemorate winning battles of The Revolutionary War, we at Tripura Foundation share these photos of wide-eyed children enjoying the same beauty and wonder during Diwali, the Festival of Lights, last November, at several of our Hope Learning Centers in Trichy, India.

It doesn’t cost much to bring Hope and joy to children. It costs only $300 a month to sponsor an entire Hope Learning Center. If that is not within your budget right now, only 30 cents a day covers the costs of Hope Center sponsorship for one child, including tutoring, academic lessons, materials, daily mini meals, and spectacular holiday activities that could indeed forge brilliant life-long memories.

Happy Independence Day to those in the USA and de-LIGHT-full wishes to all!
