A Million Meals Of HoPE

In today's busy world, many of us rarely have time to slow down and appreciate all that we have - comfortable homes, reliable cars, loved ones, etc. Yet, so many others don't even have the very basics. In the USA, over 52 million people don't have enough food!

Yet, the world produces enough food to feed everyone. World agriculture produces 17 percent more calories per person today than it did 30 years ago. Poverty is the real reason that people go hungry. People go hungry due to the unequal distribution of resources.

In July, 2013, Tripura Foundation launched its most ambitious project to date - to feed a million meals to the poorest of the poor. Well, we've met our goal!  So far, we've served over One Million meals!

We now serve over 77,000 each month to the most vulnerable people in the USA.

We have become a vital umbrella organization with a national commitment to end hunger. To strategically consolidate efforts, we partner with food banks that have local reach.

Mobile pantries are key to Our Goal to get as many meals of fresh produce for each dollar to people in areas of greatest need.

Every dollar raised will cover the costs of at least 5 meals. Dr. Pillai's vast volunteer network of dedicated champions ensures that funds go directly to the poorest of the poor, with great love, compassion and HoPE.

In the USA, over 52 million people go hungry every day - that is 1 in every 6 Americans! This is where we step in and feed them.

Senior citizens and others on fixed incomes often have to choose between paying bills or eating. We step in so that they can do both!

Each day in the USA, 13 Million Children go to bed hungry. So, we step in to make sure that our future leaders are fed!

Single and/or working-poor parents often work more than one job but do not earn enough to pay bills and buy food. So, we step in!

We also have pantries and volunteer feeders in nine other nations, including: Brazil, Canada, India, Guatemala, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, The Philippines, and The U.K.

Hunger is universal but could easily be eradicated. This is why we step in AND need Y-O-U!.
