The Guild of Service Home for Handicapped Children
The Guild of Service first opened its doors in 1984 in response to the polio outbreak in poor rural areas around Chennai. Without availability of vaccines, many children were subject to the disabling disease. Now the Guild shelters, educates, rehabilitates, feeds and clothes 50 handicapped children at a time for a term of 3 years before reintroducing them into society prepared to make a way for themselves.

The Boystown and Girlstown children will provide entertainment and friendship to the resident children and share with them the SKIP techniques that they have learned.

CANSTOP
CANcer Support Therapy to Overcome Pain strives to help people learn more about dealing with cancer and cope with its related problems. The Canstop team makes visits to Women's and Children's cancer wards to distribute educational material, nutritional supplements and to lift spirits.

The Boystown and Girlstown children will be a regular active part of this program, visiting and putting on variety performances.

Community Feedings
In the Selaiyur area where Boystown and Girlstown are located, there are people who need food. These people live in neighboring slums, are the very old, the very young and everyone in between.

Under guidance of our Tripura Staff, the children of Boystown and Girlstown will serve prepared, healthy, nutritious food to targeted groups in their community on a regular basis.
